Manchester City take a 3-0 lead into the second leg
Manchester City took a commanding 3-0 lead in their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
Erling Haaland scored his 45th goal of the season to open the scoring for City in the 20th minute. The Norwegian striker atoned for a first-half penalty miss by sealing City's place in the semi-finals with a second goal in the 68th minute.
Phil Foden added a third for City in the 90th minute to complete the scoring.
The result leaves Atletico Madrid with a mountain to climb in the second leg at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, April 19.
