Kentucky Baseball Makes History, Reaches College World Series
Wildcats To Face in First Game
Lexington, KY - June 15, 2024
The Kentucky Wildcats baseball team has made history by reaching the College World Series for the first time in program history. The Wildcats clinched their spot in the tournament by sweeping the Oregon State Beavers in the NCAA Tournament's Lexington Super Regional.
Kentucky will face in their first game of the College World Series. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, June 17, at 2 p.m. ET.
The Wildcats are making their first appearance in the College World Series since 1998. They are the first SEC team to reach the College World Series since Vanderbilt in 2019.
Kentucky is led by a talented group of players, including All-American pitcher Sean Harney and All-SEC outfielder Chase Estep. The Wildcats have a deep pitching staff and a powerful offense, which should make them a contender in the College World Series.
The College World Series is the most prestigious tournament in college baseball. It is played at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament features the eight best teams in the country, who compete for a national championship.
